Spring Projects Update: Camp Hope Water, Roofs, Electric and Love Now!
Transient Non-Community Water System (TNCWS): The construction of the new public water system made great progress during the sunny days of April. We are thrilled with the progress! This Clark County project is scheduled for completion by June 14 and will provide potable water throughout the camp.
Below, workers dig a trench up the hill to replace water pipes for new water tanks.
Final Roof Repairs! The construction of 15 new roofs and 3 sets of gutters began this week. This is the final phase of a 4-year effort to replace roofs on 27 buildings at camp. We are thankful for the generosity of Valiant Roofing donating resources to help us get this project within the budget of the federal covid grant we received! Hip, Hip, Hooray!
Roofers remove old shingles on a bunkhouse in Pod 1 (below).
Electric Upgrades: Myers Electric donated time and materials last week upgrading 10 circuits in 3 pods with GFCI outlets and adding a few outlets where we need them! These upgrades will have BIG impact!
Thank you, Myers Electric!
We are so EXCITED!
Spring Clean-Up: Volunteers with Crossroads Love-Now joined our volunteer grounds maintenance team and enjoyed a spring day in April making a difference for our youth! This group painted, cleared trails, moved supplies, and cleaned up debris! Thank-you, volunteers!
We look forward to seeing you around the campfire soon!
